After Petzl and Sigvaris, it is the 3rd specialist brand to base itself in the heart of the Rhône-Alpes region (its birthplace) to reach out to its racing partners.
The Lafuma brand occupies a favourable position in the trail running market. Furthermore, major moments in the history of this sport have taken place by runners flying its flag. It is a top team with an elite female component including the two multi-award winners, Corinne Favre and Karine Herry and the rising star Virginie Govignon. The field for the 2012 SAINTELYON will be particularly strong.
This event runs in parallel with the LAFUMA RANDO which gives amateur hikers the opportunity to follow the same course on foot.

Lafuma has been a partner of the 2 Alpes ski resort since 2004. This partnership began at the Free Raid VTT world cup (organised in the resort each year) and it developed from there. Today the brand proposes customised products for winter ski activities and also for summer activities such as hiking and trail running.
Lafuma equips all the 2 Alpes Tourist Office staff and helps them with the deployment of their sporting events.
The 2 Alpes resort, located in Oisans in Isère has one of the largest skiable glaciers in Europe. The resort is well known in France for summer skiing amongst other things.
Lafuma, whose head office has been located in the north of the Drôme region since 1930 is a founding partner in the Drôme Trail running race, which takes place in April each year in Buis les Baronnies.
This magnificent race proposes trails surrounded 100% by nature in the hills of Drôme Provençale. Alternating between single tracks and circuits through the undergrowth on forest tracks or pastures, it is an opportunity to discover some of the most beautiful natural beauty spots in the Baronnies.
Lafuma is the partner and the heart of the Occitane 6666, a race organised by Antoine Guillon, one of Lafuma’s technical advisers, which takes place each year in June in Vailhan in the Hérault region.
The Occitane and the Grand Raid Occitan rank amongst the best adventure races in France. They are reserved for runners capable of running over 160 kms, climbing up to 6,000 metres.
